Good for you!
You can do this!
I'm going for my first post-surgery mammo this Friday (my lumpectomy was 10/12), and I'm a bit nervous myself, so I understand how you feel. I'll let you know how it goes, but I'm sure I will survive as will you!
Take care,

Oh Turquoise One~ I am
Oh Turquoise One~ I am really proud of you! Nothing like putting your boob in an old wringer washing machine to mark the week before Christmas! And that the mammo tech will have to tell you to hold your breath~ are they kidding? We couldn't breathe if we wanted to! LOL And if you are the first and only woman to ever have a boob rip or otherwise come off during a mammogram, think of the lawsuit money you will accumulate and we will probably get to see you on the talk show circuit as well! So, nothing to fear, it's all well and good!
Good on ya, girlfriend!

I will there and so will all
I will there and so will all the others and the room will be so crowded that you couldn't fall over if you fainted. We will be shoulder to shoulder and holding you up. And remember just like so many other parts of the journey the anticipation can be worse than the actuality. And tell them right when you get there about your concerns regarding fainting. When I did the mammogram guided wires they had me sitting in a chair. Maybe they have something like this that you can be seated in. But I am so proud of you Tasha. I know how much courage this took and you will do fine. I just know it.

Just wanted to wish you well on Dec. 18. I always hated mammograms and actually got bruises a couple of times, but I bruise easily. When I would go for my annual mammo seems like I never got the same tech each time. I always told them "if you hurt me I'm going to slap you real hard". Worked most of the time. Try it and let me know if it works. Lots of hugs to you.0 -

We will all be there with you!! Hugs to you, Diane
Way to go, Tasha. You are very brave to have made this appointment, as I remember how afraid you were when you had to take your last one. We will all be there for you. I have my annual mammogram (both breasts) on December 15th, so will let you know if they have added any little "tricks" to the test. I always try to think of something else while they are "handling my boobs", but it is really difficult to put yourself elsewhere when someone is trying to smash your female parts. However, we will both geth through this, and on to better things. Hugs are with you.

My dearest J...
Oh, honey...
Even six years post-BC, nothing frightens me more than the dreaded annual mammogram. So, I know exactly how you feel.
Big KUDOS for booking the appointment! Now, just make sure you GO! :-)
All of the prior anxiety leading up to it will be well worth the effort when you are declared NED - I'm confident.
You're now marked on my calendar - 12/18, I'll be holding your hand via cyberspace.
Kindest regards, Susan xo0
