Keeping the tip of your penis lubricated helps tons! Let us know when you get your final path report. Also on how you do with urinary control and once you get things going with erections.
Just be patient. It takes Time. I've been very pleased with everything. Thursday will be 3 months post surgery for me.

I can't really comment on the cath issues, my dr used a Supra Pubic Cath and therefore there is no tube running through the penis. I have to admit that it sure made walking 2-3 miles per day immediately following surgery a non-eventful and easy experience.

Best of luck to you in your healing process. Follow the mantra of post surgery; drink, walk, drink, walk and repeat. Don't forget that following the post surgery diet and using the stool softeners also contribute to a much speedier and painless recovery.

I did a power walk with my wife and it turned redish. Keep walking but push fluids. The more water you can push the better.

Of course always check with your doctor or if you aren't getting any output in the bag or decreased output.

Boredom is a pain isn't it. I couldn't agree more about the need to do something. But you have to let your body tell you when it's time to move forward. Everyone of us heals at a different pace. Just human nature.

So listen to your body and you will know when to go to the next level. About the pink urine. Mine was pink up until I had my cath removed at 6 days. And then every once in a while for the next 2-3 weeks I would get a little surprised to see a blot clot or some other bit of nasty fly out into the toilet. So pink is okay, the really red is not.

Good luck on your continuing recovery and progress. Relax and enjoy the rest. It is amazing how quickly you will find life jumping up and making demands on you. There will be times when you would like to have that little excuse to say "don't feel up to it right now", and everyone would answer and say, it's okay don't worry about it.

I might be a bad example but my doctor gave me no restrictions as what to eat and drink even a few beer were ok but no more than 3 he didnt want me feeling good and screwing up the cath.

I drank lots of water but never gave up morning tea followed by coffee.

My urine was never red and only pink 1 time and my cath was in for 6 days and no problems since.

I would call your doctor if its still red after a few days just in case as we are all different and at this point it pays to be vigilant so you can have the cath removed ASAP.
