Day one of radiation and a new drug xeloda, I had approached this day with great reserve, afraid of what was to come, what side effects will i be lucky to have and which ones will i avoid, will i be tired will i feel good, will i want to do anything or will i just be dazed out, I was worried and the cancer was working me,.

My point is, The day was not half bad, and i managed to get somthings done, and all the worries were for nothing,

We all have an opportunity to work the cancer, and i mean work, each monent to achieve a better you, cancer can beat us down or it can lift us up to a greater understanding of the life we lead and those around us. I would like to express to all who will listen in hope that i and each of my friends , family and anyone else who is willing to work with me to beat our cancers,

Your support is always welcome,

Just my thoughts of the day,

Live, Laugh, Grow
Winnie

I think you will be ok.I did the radiation and xeloda at the same time with very little problems.I just had some cramps at the end of the 5th and 6th week, but I still went to work.Just hang in there, don't stop fighting.I'll be prating for you.

    I like your statement
working the cancer, so the cancer can't work you. It's like that old TV commercial, I have cancer, cancer does not have me.

It boils down to mind set; how you focus, view and think of your life and the new journey you are facing.

Like I say, take one step at a time and you will be amazed just how far you really get.

You're right, you work it girl!! I hope the radiation doesn't get too bad on you, and glad it wasn't so bad so far. I have never had it before, it scares me. Nudgie, I believe that as well, focus and mindset are very important in this fight, this is one hell of a journey, who knows what's going to come up next, so always be prepared :)

    Hugsss!
