Laurissa, had terribly, hyper, restless nite. Finally fell asleep about 5:30 am. The nurse warned me of this due to the steroids. Have little appetite this morning, maybe because I drank tons of water thru the nite. I'm going to pray for your stomach knots today. Hang in there girl0 -
doable treatmentMyTurnNow said:Good job!!
I felt the same way you did on my first treatment. It is definately the fear of the unknown. I hope all the rest of them are as doable for you.
I sure hope so--what an unchartered journey this is!! Thank you for your kind words.0 -

I'm so glad that your first day was uneventful. Having an angel sitting next to you was a big help. I find that at my treatments most everyone is so friendly, That the time flies by. Hugs, Diane
Diane, I find this website so informative and its always good to talk to someone who is walking the same walk-- I've read some of your comments and appreciate what you have to say. Have a blessed day , Sandy0 -
First Chemo
Congrats! You did it! Glad it went so well for you. I was scared senseless when I had my first chemo, but as you said, seeing others relatively calm helped. Steroids kept me awake, also. Your taste buds will go hay-wire, for about a week but try and find something that works for you....I lived on watermelon one week during chemo.....I could taste that....continue drinking tons of liquids. Believe it or not, you will get through this and when you do, pat your self on the back for a job well done! I finished the end of August and am now having my radiation. I pray the rest go well for you!

Thank you for the enouragement. Congrats on completing your chemo. I have a yuk taste in my mouth, and have been eating apple sauce and bread. I forced myself to get moving today to make some vegetable soup, wash my "dead" hair, and get a shower. I was so down yesterday I didnt even take a shower, yuk. Slowly, but slowly I'm coming around. I had hubby pick up claritin today, based on comments of so many of the gals. Had my neulasta shot on Wed, and after dealing with nausea even tho I'm taking the zofran, I want to be proactive and perhaps avoid the bone aches.0
