Thanks Mimimimivac said:Loss and fear
I realize that posting about a breast cancer death can be frightening to others going through treatment. We all know the reality of this terrible disease, but the truth is that most of us here will be fine. Danelle developed a bad infection that was not properly controlled by her doctors. It is NOT common for breast cancer to claim a life so rapidly as it did for Danelle. She had seizure on Saturday night before she died, and one of the members of Danelle's other board, who is also a doctor believes that her infection affected her brain and caused her seizures. This is what lead to her death. In the end, the sad truth is that she did not get the standard of care that she and all of us deserve. Please know that your situation is different. If anyone wants to, many of Danelle's cyber sisters will be lighting a candle for her tonight at 8 PM to remember another remarkable woman whose time came all too soon. Thank you all for your comments and for remembering Danelle.
Mimi
Mimi, thank you for posting this and for letting all of us know, whether we knew her or not. It was very kind of you and I am glad that I, personally, can share in some sort of candle lighting remembrance for her.

I am saddened to hear that Young One is gone. She was a spirited young lady and had the sweetest little face. I always thought "She's just a baby when I would see her picture". I know that many of our ladies on here are very young and it always makes me think of my girl and how I would feel if she was the one with cancer. My heart hurts for anyone with cancer but it's like the younger they are the more my heart hurts. She will be missed but I know she must be at peace. I wish for peace and comfort for her family and friends.
Thank you Mimi for letting us know about one of our sisters.

I am so sad to read this about Danelle. So very sorry

Thanks for the update Mimi on Danelle and the candle lighting!

I want to thank everyone who thought about Danelle or lit a candle for her last night. My candle was lit as my husband and I quietly made dinner. I feel like I owe it to her and to all the other women we have lost to live a good life and enjoy every day as much as I can. I have let the women at YSC who knew her family personally know about the heartfelt sadness for Danelle's loss on this board. I know the message will get through.

Celebrate Danelle's Life
Thank you for updating us Mimi. It is indeed very sad news. I will keep her loved ones in my prayers.
Knowing that she was a sister in this BC family, it also effects all of us on a very personal level. It is so awful that this disease takes so many lives!
BUT...............
we all need to keep things in perspective. NO ONE knows how many days they have left on this earth. The 'healthiest' person you know can have a heart attack and be gone in minutes. Anyone can walk outside and be hit by a car. We just have no guarantees. We all must live each day to the fullest and focus on that. Not all of the "what if's". Make the most of today, the most of this moment and di it in memory of the fellow BC sisters that are no longer struggling. We all know they would want us to live our lives to the fullest! Don't lose heart!
God bless!

Grant unto her Oh Lord and let Perpetual Light Shine on Her. May she rest in peace, Amen.
I did not know Danielle either, but she must have made a great impression on this board reading all your kind tributes to her. I hate this disease!!!!! I will light a candle at 8 o'clock tonight also and will pray for her young family.

My heart goes out
My heart goes out to her children and family. I didn't have the pleasure of meeting or speaking with her, but I am sure she was special. I will keep her family in my prayers. She has gone on to a special place where there is no more pain and suffering or tears.0 -

I haven't been on in a few days and just saw this. I am so saddened by the loss of this young_one. Thank you Mimi for telling us about her. I remember when we all prayed for her awhile back because she had just gotten this infection. My prayers go out to her family!
