Sad News

I am writing to report some very sad news of a fellow BC sister who used to visit this site. Many of you remember Danelle (Young_One). She was a spirited woman, with a quick wit and compassionate heart. Danelle was only around 32 when she was diagnosed with inflammatory breast cancer. After aggressive chemo and radiation, she remained cancer free for several years. Unfortunately, her cancer spread a few months ago and she developed an infection. Today I learned that Danelle passed away yesterday. She leaves behind a husband, two sons, many friends, and many, many cyber sisters who never met her in real life but were nevertheless touched by her incredible spirit. I don't know what happens after death, but I hope Danelle has peace now.

    I remember Danielle and will miss her on this site. She is God's special angel now and always.
    Her family is in my thoughts and prayers.

    I can still see her face in my mind and I can't believe it. My heart goes out to all those with whom she touched with her sweet spirit. Very very sad, she will be missed. Thank you Mimi for letting us know.

    This is terribly sad news
    I never had the chance to meet Danelle in person, or even respond to one of her posts - but I sure read every post of hers I could find. After reading just a few of them, I felt like I had known her for years: smart, funny, feisty, brave with no problem whatsoever saying exactly what she thought. To read what Danelle had to say you would never guess at what a rough row she was given to hoe. My thoughts and prayers go out for her and her family.

    Danelle, the world will truly never see your like again.

    so sad to lose a sister.
    So sad to loss one of our Bc sisters.I did not have the pleasure to meet Danelle.But I will pray for her family and friends.(Pat).

    I am saddened to hear that Young One is gone. She was a spirited young lady and had the sweetest little face. I always thought "She's just a baby when I would see her picture". I know that many of our ladies on here are very young and it always makes me think of my girl and how I would feel if she was the one with cancer. My heart hurts for anyone with cancer but it's like the younger they are the more my heart hurts. She will be missed but I know she must be at peace. I wish for peace and comfort for her family and friends.

    I myself have never had the chance to speak with Danelle. Shortly after I came on I believe everyone had just learned that her cancer spread. I have, however, listened to others speak about her. She will be sadly missed by many. I will say a prayer for her family as well as for all who will deeply miss her. ♥ Pammy

    I didn't get a chance to know Danielle, but the awful truth is .. cancer kills. I hate it.. I get angry just hearing the word spoken.

    Good thoughts and prayers to all.

    favor to ask of you all. I don't know if this is an appropriate time to ask on this post,so I apologize if this is insulting to any one... I met someone at my cancer support group who I told about this board. She is a newbie who is a cervical cancer survivor. Her name is Danielle and she is 28,so her user name is Dani28. She posted on the cervical cancer board,and I've been keeping watch since I introduced her to CSN in the first place. The problem is,she has only had one response besides mine-and she is new out of her treatments and very young besides!She is really having a hard time with it-especially the fact that she and her husband are childless and now that she had to have a hysterectomy,she can't give birth to children of their own anymore.If any of you guys are interested,do you think you could respond to her post? It's not that she's so desperate that she needs me to set her up with friends,she just needs people who understand(like all of us with all of our sisters here). I almost wonder if she has given up on this board. I need to get a hold of her this week to see how she is...
    Once again,I apologize for introducing something new to this post. Guess I've just been thinking about Dani for a while,and Mimi,when I read your post,it kind of reminded me of Dani.

    Thanks for the news, even though it's so sad, Mimivac. I hope she is at peace too, and I will pray for her family and friends.

    And I will also go post a note to Dani28. No one should have to feel alone on these boards.
