Yes Claudia,
what happened with the MRI and mammo(did you say with your mammo that you are dancing with NED?-I thought you did...)?0 -
As Tom Petty says, The Waiting Is The Hardest Part!
Thanks for asking, sweetie; my appointment is on Monday afternoon, mammo at 2PM, MRI at 3:30. I really am looking forward to it in a perverse way. I need to get a diagnosis of something and treatment! Sadly, the pain, swelling, etc has been constant since mid July, so it's time to find out what's going on! LOL
As soon as I know something, I will Broadcast it, ok?? :-) We will all celebrate or comisserate, ok?

Thanks for updating us. I, too, have been wondering. So sorry to hear of the pain and swelling. I am thinking that the mammo and MRI will diagnose the problem and let you move on to treatment and recovery. Have a wonderful weekend, my dear.

MRI and Mammo 2day
Well, I am not just sure what's happening, as I have to wait until the 25th to see the surgeon and get results,(UGH) but I did have an MRI and a mammo today. The MRI was done for 20 mins without a contrast medium and 20 minutes with one, and then the mammo. The tech reiterated that GENERALLY, pain does not signal cancer. I know, I know, I know!!! She said , after doing the mammo that she wanted me to stay in the waiting room, in case after seeing the mammo, my Dr wanted either additional pix or an ultrasound. Oh yeah, that conforted me~NOT! Good thing they weren't taking my b/p right then! LOL So, I waited, and the report came back that I could go home, no further pix needed. So, that either means, "whatever" it is is visible and thus no pix needed, or there was nothing to see, thus nothing to ultrasound.
I sent my Reggie and my niece/daughter out shopping and errand running for the 2 hours I was at the hospital...and when they picked me up, Reggie surprised me with a new computer!!! He got me a Netbook; it is so tiny and sweet! I installed the latest Java, and I even got in to CSN chat tonight~ imagine that!!!
So, I feel better this evening; no doubt a lot of it has to do with my stress level being lowered. I will let you know as soon as I know~but in the meanwhile thank you sooo much for caring about me, and all that you do and are! I love all of you!
Hugs,

Chen... I will continue sending positive thoughts your way... I am so sorry you have to wait until the 25th... It doesn't seem fair that after all the waiting that we do during initial dx testing, and then treatment that we should have to continue to wait when something else seems to come up... I guess we really do become the queens of waiting...
A new computer, that even allows you to get into chat...how sweet of Reggie to surprise you!
Take care my friend! You will continue to be in my thoughts!

PS: Jackie... I know what you mean... mine went against everything I was told about bc... it doesn't hurt... mine did (it was extremely tender)... It doesn't move in between your fingers.. mine did....it's generally round like a pea.. mine was like oblong and extremely bumpy... etc..0 -

I agree Jackie~ just because someone SAYS it "probably" isn't cancer ( oh puhleese~ how reassuring is that to someone who already went thru it, and this is happening on the same side?) I take it all with a huge grain of salt, and hope for the best!
Here's a kicker~I had a mammogram in September, and yesterday, they would only mammogram ONE breast...I have to go back in on the 15th of September for the left, as it has "only" been 11 months! I am really glad to have insurance, don't misunderstand me, but ya know...sometimes things seem so arbitrary and foolish. I am not going to go on my political soap-box, except to say: Give me Universal Health Care---I just know I could have had both breasts mammo'd on the same day! LOL And on a serious note, I honestly was thinking how inconvenient to say the least this would have been for many of our Sisters in Pink who have to travel all day for tests...but when insurance pays for one mammo a year, 12 months it is!!!!
Ok, enough of a rant from me!
Hugs,
Claudia0
