    Update on Young One
    I do have an update on her. When I first wrote, she had been hospitalized to a local hospital in her rural home town. She needed a major cancer center, but was too weak to travel. Fortunately, some well-connected friends on another board got her an appointment with a breast cancer specialist who deals with young womena and very aggressive cancers. She recovered enough to travel for the appointment. She and her family will be staying with her mother for a few weeks to receive care at this cancer center. I will check the other board for more updates and let you guys know. Thanks so much for the interest and well wishes. I know she can feel all the love pouring in.

    Another update
    Apparently, her appointment was this morning. No word yet on the results. Also, I wanted to let people know that there is a charity run by a young breast cancer survivor that helps other survivors through gift certificates to restaurants, clothing stores, etc. I know this is a great help to those who have to travel for treatment and are not independantly wealthy (pretty much all of us). There is a drive now to raise some money for Young One's expenses through this charity. I will post this information here as I get it. No need to say whether you want to contribute or not. I'll just post and let people decide anonymously. No pressure. Just a nice thing, if you are inclinced and can afford to.

Of course we were all concerned when you originally posted; and though I am very sorry that she was too weak to travel, the good news is she recovered enough and got the appointment with the specialist. It goes without saying we wish her all good things, and that she gets not just the medical attention she needs, but that it goes well for her.
