For Love Not Money

Isn't it funny that the greatest g i f t s on earth cost nothing. Money does not last. but love lives on forever.

My daughter runs every weekend in Denver Colorado, she runs for me and us, she trains and works out hard, volunteers for every relay, marathon, runs, helps put signs on their backs, whatever she can do. She says this is for me, and calls me after each race or event to let me know, she has taken first place in her age group, and today she won the party raffle ticket, which includes free pizza's wing's and drinks, at the fox and the hound, she's waiting for me Oct. 23rd when i will be up there for a Relay for Life. I can't wait. All this happiness and pride is brought on by her love and not cash.

My husband lays out my vitamins and pills the Doc. prescribes each day after lunch, because i forget, this too is priceless.

Love from my friends and family always pitching in, just sitting with me, means more than Gold. We can't take it with us, but love and memories continue to come full circle and never die.

love you bunches, jackie

No surprise when you think about it :-)
It occurs to me that if YOU were not lovable, and therefore loved, few of these good g.ifts would probably come your way. So, while you are hugging your daughter, husband and friends who give so generously to you, feel the love being generated from your heart to theirs, and you will know why everyone gives to you so openly. It speaks volumes about who you are...

    Hugs,
    Claudia

    Amazing thruth
It's the ripple effect. What good one person does from the heart goes out to it's target which then is passed to someone else which in turn effects anothers life, etc.....there is no end. Because you send out so much love, Jackie, like Claudia said, so much is poured back to you. Hmmmm.....weren't we told that what you send out will come back to you tenfold? Wish I could quote where to find that passage, but hubby went to bed. What a humble soul you are! We love you bunches too!! (:-) Pammy

    Dear Jackie:

Please pass along my heartfelt thanks to your beautiful daughter, Jamie, who does so much on behalf of you and all of us. As her Mom, your own kindness and generosity of spirt was obviously a big influence for her! :-)

    My dear Jackie
I, like you, have so many blessings in my life. I had them before this round of bc, but, I have so many more now. I would never have thought that to be possible, but, it is. I once told hubby that I have too many friends, that I can't keep up with all of them. He reminded me..that you never have too many. And, he is right. One can never have too many that care and love us.

You have a great family Jackie. I am so happy that everything worked out between you and your husband. An angel was there..helping?

    Love, Jeanne

Jackie what a heartwarming post, thank you for letting us peek a bit at the love of your family as you are truly blessed. Claudia is right, you are so loved because you love so much yourself!

I cannot wait to hear how your Fox and the Hound outing goes, kudos to your daughter for her faith and courage!

    The greatest things in life....
are the ones where you touch another...and you stay in their hearts and minds, as well as they in yours...

That's the most important thing, I think.

Thank you for your sharing, Kathi

    Jackie,
My son, who just turned 14, sat in the computer room with me two nights ago. "Mom," he said, "I am so glad that you are better, now." I said, "It's been a rough year for you, huh?." He went on to describe that for the past year he had been walking on eggshells so I wouldn't fall apart crying. He said how glad he was that I was now happy again. He said that I seemed more relaxed than he could remember!

I had no idea he was feeling all this stuff and I am tearing up just thinking about this love and kindness from my rough, tough, risk taking, school hating, football player son.

    Fantastic family
What a sweet, devoted, husband and daughter you have there, Jackie. You deserve this wonderful family. You give so much to others, too. I will be waiting to hear about the wings and beer with your daughter in October. It sounds like so much fun.

What a beautiful perspective, Jackie! So many people spend their whole lives missing it.

You are so blessed to have an amazing daughter and family, but, as pointed out, why wouldn't you, they are blessed to have you, too.

I didn't realize your daughter did all these things - thank you so much for sharing - and for sharing this post!
    Hugs,

    The little things mean alot.
The little things mean alot. They show so much love don't they? How blessed you are and they to have you. For me, it is when my hubby walks by me and pets me on the head. He has done this forever but I noticed it more during my cancers. He will just walk by and reach out and stroke my head. I told him that I wished I could do that leg thing dogs do when you scratch behind their ears. It's like a little I Love You everytime he does this. Putting out those pills is a little I love you every day, isn't it?
You deserve all this love and more. You are an incredible warrior.

    My Jamie
She is so very beautiful, inside and out. This is how she deals with it and the only way she knows how to fight it and make a difference, for me for us, I have shared the board with her..when she was with me in Billings for Rads. She prays and runs for you all, after all you are her mom's friends who she (her mom) couldn't do without. This is why i share this with you.

What an incredible beautiful spirited daughter you have raised Jackie. She is just like her Mother! Two very amazing women! I am so lucky to have gotten to know you, even if just thru this site. You have touched my life and it sounds like your daughter is touching a lot of people's lives! Incredible! And, your hubby is ok in my book too! :)
