Doctor Appts
I also got the big cat scan on Friday for the spot on my lung on Friday, so I am getting a bit up tight about that. I hate drinking that stuff, and i hate having that dye shot into me.
Most of all I hate waiting for the results which wont happen until the 7th of August.

Mood swings part of all of this?
Hello to a fellow Floridian. I am also in the tampa bay area!!
I didn't know that chemo plays havoc on your moods too. Oh no, I am already bipolar!! It might be a good thing for me that I am already on medication for the mood swings then!! It really helps by the way and keeps me stable!
All of these doctors appts. and all of this waiting is the pits. I am still waiting for the "official" results from my biopsy that was done last Friday. What the heck is taking so long? I will call again today if I don't hear anything this morning. I can't believe you have to wait until the 7th for your results. We know that they know them sooner than that!!
Good Luck tomorrow and Friday.
Love and Light,

TJ, I am relieved to hear that finally you're going to get some information and options for helping you through the hormonal hell you've been in. You have been stoic about it, but it's about time your doctors are listening. Please let us know how the appointments go.
I am praying for good news on the catscan. But why do you have to wait so long? Can your primary care doctor step in and get the news sooner? Waiting for results is the worst, we all know.
We are all with you, Drummer Extraordinaire. You are a warrior and will get through this.0 -

Glad they are finally doing
Glad they are finally doing something TJ. It's bad enough going into abrupt menopause without all the other side effects from the meds we are on. BTW, love the fuzz. It's coming in nicely. Good luck on Friday, I hope all works out and I'll be sending you warm hugs and prayers your way. Hugs, Lili0 -

Hope you get good news
TJ
Hope you get good news on the lung spot...and that you save a bit of the hormonal rage in the event that the report takes too long!

My mood swings are caused by forced menopause do t tamoxifen, chemo did stop my periods, and belive me i am not complaining. As far as your situation, please make sure that your Doctors monitor it at all times, the last thing you need is for that to flare up.
Since we are so close to each other maybe we can hook up for lunch or somthing some time.
happy smiles

I never thought thati would look for ward to an appt b4, but i am deffitnatly ready for this moodyness to stop. It goes against my nature to be mean and b***hy but hopefuly it will end soon.
As far as waiting for the Report well it is the VA and they move slowly, however with them no news tends to be good news, and it is only a week so I will be working at being patient, and I will have new meds to keep my calm (I hope)

Wishing you the best with your lung spot...I have one that they are "watching", too. My MRI is due in the next month.
Good luck with your meds/mood - maybe they will help with the smoking cravings, too?!?!

Prayers that our drummer finds relief for the mood swings and a clean bill for the CT scan. I hate drinking that stuff also. I don't mind the dye except I always feel like I just peed.

I know, it always makes me start to laugh. The techs have to tell me to hold still. Its the only fun thing about the whole thing.

I understand about the waiting for the test results, TJ. Thanks for letting me know. The med(s) for your hormones will help with the waiting, as you said. My sister suffered greatly from mood shifts due to hormones but did find relief with meds.
I will be thinking of you and Taleena both on Friday. And, again, I am just so glad you are going to get some help for the misery you've had.0 -
Hoping all of it works out for you...
Hoping you get some relief for the extreme mood swings (which I don't ever get a sense of, here on the board, by the way - you seem pretty mellow... and funny, too!).
And best of luck with the upcoming scan.
Kind regards, Susan0 -
