Calleen, sounds like you have a group of awesome friends and family! Your surgery will go really fast tomorrow: for you. Just remember, you have the easy job tomorrow, while the surgeon does his job and your friends and family wait and worry. Hope it goes extremely well.
TT, glad your surgery went smoothly. I know you're glad it's over.

Hey Calleen
I had my surgery yesterday and I had those same fears of not waking up. I had never been put under for anything. It was the most calming sleep I have had in weeks
Good luck you will be in my thoughts and prayers
TT

Rest, take good care of yourself. Best wishes for speedy recovery.0 -

Your done!! Halleluiah!!!!
I bet I don't sleep much tonight so I wanna be like you and just go with it and have a calming sleep!!! This won't be my first time going under.. it will actully be my 5th time so why I'm fretting I don't know??? Maybe because my boobs as I know them now will be forever gone.. I did take a few pics to remember them...... and really they are kinda ugly!! LOL...0 -
Great BFF!!!
HAHAHAHA!! I dare say, we all had that same fear, and so far, none of us has been that special! And besides that, they give you "happy drugs" before hand to take that edge off~ and the next thing you know, you are awake and in recovery! One step closer to Killing the Beast!
Keep us posted! And, btw, if it seems that the surgery room is really crowded, it's just all of us and our healing energy with you!
Hugs,

:-D
Well, you got to keep that BFF around! I think most of us have that ornery thought in our heads just before we have surgery. I for one always wait till I am on the operating table just before they knock me out I tell them "I love my life so be sure to bring me back to it", they all assure me that they will. :-) You shall be fine and I will be lifting you in prayer.
Now here's a little chuckle for you, my dear friend sent me a text and in it said I was her BFF. Well, being 52 I thought "what is BFF????" I then thought it was BIG FAT FRIEND!!! I was on the phone with her in seconds telling her I did not want to be a BFF.....she laughed and told me it was best friend forever and we bother roared with laughter! Glad you have a BFF at your side!

Just stay positive and it will be over before you know it. I remember being scared to death the day before, so you sound like you are doing an awesome job by keeping your head up and staying busy. Know that you have prayers coming your way and you will be fine. Like claudia said, you are one step closer.

You are definitely not the Big Fat Friend!! How funny. I can see you getting all worked up about it, too. This is like Pammy's story where her friend thought LOL meant "lots of love."
You guys are too funny.0 -
I can understand your fear
I can understand your fear of the anesthesia because I am very frightened of it myself. But I looked it up and only 1 in 250,000 people have a bad reaction to it. And, the artices I read said that most of those are complicated by poor health to begin with like diabetes, heart trouble, obesity or smoking. You will do great and everything will go fine, you'll see!0 -

I have mine thursday. A lumpectomy, I'm still nervous. I hope it's no more sleep than I had with my "scopes" (Colonoscopy&EGD) that was a restful sleep. When I had neurosurgery in 2000, I was out for close to 10 hours!0 -
