I also popped in specifically to see if Deanna had posted.
I'm having 'Camp Grandma' this week, with my grandkids on a week-long sleep-over, so super busy. But Deanna is in my thoughts all day and I join Peggy in awaiting the test results & hoping for some good news.
PEGGY: How'd Garth? I think of you all of the time, too, my dear friend.0 -
as we wait.........
Hi Linda.. Thank you for thinking of us again. G is still having a lot of problems, our last trip to Mayo he had stints put in the pancreus.(spelling that wrong?) He has lost over 70 pounds. I envy the weight loss... but not the way he has had to suffer to do it. I was thinking maybe Deanna had let you know what the results are. I pray often for all of us.0 -

I hope it is not too bad of news that she is having trouble posting it. I hope she is celebrating good news and has not had time to post it. I pray for good news from her.
Peggy I too have been wondering about Garth, Jo and you. I am sorry Garth has lost so much weight. Is he still in so much pain. Pancreatitis can be so painful. You all remain in my prayers, too. Sorry your family has had to go through so much. O hope you are still dancing with NED. In peace and caring. HUGS to all of you.0 -

I bet you will make it such a fun week for the grandkids. Glad you are feeling up to having them for a whole week. I love you new hair. It looks great on you. You have such a wonderful smile, it brings one to my face when I see it. Have a great week with the grandkids. In peace and caring. HUGS to you.0 -

Ro, Thank you for your concern and caring too. Yes, G has still been suffering attacks. He never complains. He works from dawn until late at night. He is a true farmer. Jo is doing good. She just finished her volley ball tournaments and Mon her softball tournaments. Tomorrow she is planning a RV party with 5 friends. Tomorrow night it will be the RV party noise keeping us up most of the night!! Summer is such fun. My youngest grandson Victor and his mom will be going to TN Sat. To see the 'other' grandparents. It is a short flight, but Victor is so excited!! I scan again on the 5th of Aug. so dancing with NED is on my mind!! Peace and caring is a wonderful closing that I see in your posts Ro. It is very nice. I wish the same to all of you.0 -

Thank you all for your caring. I still have not heard anything. My husband talked to the nurse practitioner yesterday and she called the pathologist and they said they were working on it. Thought is was funny that they said they were as anxious as were are to find out... HA, I highly doubt that! LOL. I have just been staying busy to keep my mind off of it. I can't change it, so I just have to deal with it and live life!
As a special treat, my husband is taking me to Florida next week for a relaxing get away. If the news is good, it will be a week long celebration. If the biopsies are positive, it will be a week off before starting treatment... again. I pray that the biopsies are negative, but either way I will keep on fighting. I am going to LIVE!!!
I pray that you and your families are all well. Linda, have fun with the kids.
Peggy, thinking of you and your family and praying for strength and peace for Garth.

Still no news. My husband was told that the tissue samples were sent to Texas? Anyway, they didn't know if they would get results today. We told them that we would just call them next week when we get back from vacation. We are planning on just enjoying our vacation and trying not to think about cancer. This way, if I have to go back into treatment, I won't be dreading it the whole time we are gone. This is a good thing, I am okay with this plan. I will let you all know probably next Friday...

What part of Florida are you going to. My favorite place is to go to the beach. Nothing like the sand between my toes and the warm water on my ankles. Hope you have a nice relaxing trip. I am still praying for good news. Have a safe and enjoyable vacation. In peace and caring. HUGS to you.0 -

Hope you have a wonderful trip. I was wondering if you could put a bug in to your Dr./nurse that you would like to hear the results....IF THEY ARE GOOD while you are on your trip. They just may try harder to get them for you. I did this while I was in Tn to see my grandson. I had no results and when the tests came back good my Dr called me while I was just landing and still in the plane!! It made my vacation so much better. Either way I am glad you have the mind set to not let this beast rule your life and can enjoy your Florida Adventure. Awesome!! We went to Busch Gardens Africa last year and it was so much nicer than anywhere else we went our whole vacation. Blessings to you.0 -

Our original plan was Destin for a couple days, then drive to Orlando and go to Sea World. Then we decided that would be a lot of time in the car for 1 short week. We also found out that Panama City Beach is much cheaper than Destin. So we got this kinda fancy condo on the beach and we are just going to relax and enjoy the beach and the company. I really want to parasail and maybe do some fishing. Someone said there is somewhere that you can swim with the Dolphins? Maybe that was at Sea World. I'm getting very excited and trying to ignore cancer until we get home.
I had a little scare tonight... maybe you can help me by sharing your opinion. I went to the restroom tonight and there was just a really small spot of dried brown blood on my panties. I didn't even see any when I wiped. I will mention it to the doc when I get home, but do you think I should be alarmed? He always asks me when he examines me, but I have never had it before. I feel like a worry wart! I'm going to take a deep breath and let it go until I get home.
Thank you for the prayers, I'm praying for good news too!
Love and hugs,

I have turned the communication with the doctor's office over to my husband. This time, I get very stressed, my hands and feet go numb and it literally feels like my legs will buckle on me. I think I could easily pass out, so Carl has taken to communicating with them. They do have both of our cell numbers, so maybe if it was good news they would call. I am just going to put it out of my mind for a few days and "pretend" I never heard the C word! LOL. Busch Gardens would be very neat! I have never been much of a traveler, but there are a few places I think I might want to go to. I think I can talk hubby into it. I'll have to google Busch Gardens!
Thank you for the good thoughts and blessings.
You ladies are the best and I love you all!
Talk to you when I get home! :-00 -

Panama City Beach is a great beach to have the warm water on you ankles and sand between your toes. Hope you have a great trip. Somehow I lost the other post I wrote you, so I will try again. I hope you get to parasail. It is a great experience. Snorkeling is a lot of fun, too. Hope you can leave this "cancer" behind you for a few days and relax and enjoy your husband. I am glad you have Carl for such great support. That means so much. I would not worry about the brown blood. You know that means old blood. I would be more concerned if it was bright red. Think of all your body has been through. I would mention it to the doctor, but not dwell on it. It is easy to be a worry wart when something is different. So take that a deep breath and relax. I know that is easier said than done. So relax, enjoy and have fun on your trip. It is a long drive though, remember to get out and stretch every couple of hours. In peace and caring. You and Carl remain in my prayers. HUGS to you.0 -

Thanks for all the prayer and sentiments, it really means a lot to me. You all have come to be very important to me even though we have never met face to face! I am going to try not to give cancer a second thought while we are gone. Whatever I have to face when I get back, I will deal with when I get to it. No more putting life off for cancer... cancer can just exist around my schedule if it keeps hanging around! LOL.
I think of you all often and pray that the Lord continues to give you peace and strength always.
Love and Hugs. Talk to you next week!0
