Thank you Margo. I do work hard in them, but, I love them. I shouldn't work as hard as I do in them, as, I was warned by my doctor not to. But, I just can't help myself. I just load up on Ibuprofen or pain pills if it gets bad. And, take lots of breaks. lol ( or, a nap hehe )
Thanks again! Love, Jeanne0 -

Your flowers are beautiful
I love flowers. Along with my pup, they are my therapy.
I have a small yard and I have converted the entire front yard to a garden. Then I dug up the dirt along the driveway and put in a garden there. One of my neighbors once said, "You must really hate grass."
My flowers are slow in blooming this year and they didn't seem to last as long as in years past. It's been a very cold summer in MI, but I was determined to work in my gardens after 3 summers of neglect.
Nice job, Jeanne.

Flowers do take a lot of time and a lot of patience. But, I love working in them. I find it is good therapy. I can lose myself or forget about a bad day when I go outside and work in them. And, I used to get a great tan while working in them, but, have to be careful now since I just finished rads. Dang it! lol
Thanks for the compliments ladies!

Thanks y'all! lol I can't wait till everything blooms so that I can
update the pics. Hopefully soon! They are beautiful when it all comes together! I love to
give starts of my plants away to friends too. Then, they always have a lil piece of me

love your gardens!! I have not done a thing this year. I need to plant so bad, but everything I try....the deer eat!! I have even put the clippings from my husband's haircuts sprinkled out there. I heard deer will not come around if they smell humans. I think they even called their friends over because this did not stop them!! The only thing that lasted this year was my yuka plants. Then the blooms didn't stay very long. Any ideas what to plant that deer won't eat? Pammy0 -

There are a few plants that I have been told are kind of deer proof. You might try just one plant to start with and see what happens. A couple are monarda, russian sage and purple coneflowers. I have a lot of coneflowers in different colors. They are beautiful when grouped together. Also, I don't think deer like ornamental grasses. I have a garden of ornamental grasses that I haven't posted yet, but, I will. The grass is gorgeous when it is tall and blows in the wind. You might try some of those and just see! Good luck hon!

I planted gorgous ones out front called "purple fountains". The were beautiful and grew about 6 ft tall and 6 ft wide. Was so happy I would have something come up every year. I followed the instructions on cutting them back late fall and quess what....nothing the following year! Everyone I know doesn't cut theirs back till early spring. But I didn't know this at the time. Now for 2 years I have not seen them in again. Maybe I'll pick some other ones out. Thanks for the tip. Pammy0
