trialmimivac said:Vaccine trial
Hi Jadie, the vaccine trial is a phase II clinical trial that gives a peptide injection to those who have HER2/neu negatives tumors, but who still express some HER2/neu gene. It's an untested treatment and in early trials, so I'm not sure I will be part of it. There is some question as to certain serious side effects it might have. I will be discussing it with my onc. and also probably getting a second opinion before I do it. If you would like, I can send you a link to it.
Mimi
Mimi I was just curious because I hadn't heard anything about it. Thanks but I am not HER2/ negative. This stuff gets way over my head.LOL

Mimi, I can remember when you first posted on the board, and how scared you were of what you were facing. Lots of posts, and many months later, here you are finished with treatment. You made it with flying colors, and have inspired so many along your way. There are those who offer suggestions to questions, and there are those that research and know what they are talking about....you are one of these. Congratulations on reaching the pinnacle of hope, and we all look forward to your advice and sharing your adventures in the future. Go have fun!

Congratulations Mimi on finishing treatments! You must be so happy! How is your skin? Did
you burn or anything? I am getting a little burnt and starting to itch with those bumps. I
wish mine was over. But, soon. Have a great weekend Mimi!0 -

I agree with you, Judy. Mimi seems so rational and intelligent and compassionate and just downright classy. I always like to read her posts.
Mimi, I wish you only the best things in life.0
