I am so very sorry you know my husband died and i wished so much that he had wrote me a letter before he died and put it somewhere i could find it. He was to weak to do anything towards the end. Just a thought,Hospice helps with end of life issues we had hospice for 3 months they came 3 x a week to check on him and if he needed fluids they gave it to him they are wonderful. Again i am sorry mannie,

I hope I face the end as couragously as you seem to be. That is really a wonderful place to be. I frequent the caregiver site here often. (Phil gave you the link) It helps me to help my husband as he won't spend time online. I also go to the chat here. Last night it was me and 2 caregivers for over an hour. They were both dealing with burnout issues. They both told their stories and then we just had fun and teased each other, told jokes, etc. Sometimes it just can't be about canzer.

...Mannie, I don't know what to say, I wouldn't even know what the telltale signs of the end are, but sounds like you have accepted it in such an awesome way, where you know you will be going to a better place. I am not scared to die, well, maybe alittle, but I'm more afraid of what would become of my kids when I die, my mom died when I was young, and it was not a pleasant experience growing up without her, I hope that the doctor is wrong, and you are here for more time. I plan on writing letters for each of my kids and hubby before anything happens, while I am of sound mind anyway, but I won't give up yet, I hope to still have more time, I'm sorry for you, and just hope they're wrong
Hugssss!

You Are Awesome
I first of all am sad to hear that you feel the end is coming soon, but your courage in facing this is awesome. My mom faced her final days with such composure and had everything, every detail in order right down to her funeral arrangements. It does help to know where you are going. My prayers are with you

Praying
Sorry to hear that you feel the end is coming. You are such a loving and thoughtful husband to be thinking of your wife. I am a caregiver and I mostly come to this site because there is more support and activity here than on the caregiver site. My mother fought the monster cancer for 14 years...she lost the battle at age 64 in 1987. In her purse, we found a letter she had written to all of us. She wrote something personal in a paragraph to each of us and the last sentence of each paragraph " She would meet us in Heaven" We made copies of the letter and we each cherish our paragraph from her. She also wrote a long letter to my dad (her husband of 40 yrs) and hid it in the back of the checkbook where she knew he would eventually find it. I so admire your strength and courage and want you to know that we will continue to keep you in our thoughts and prayers. Your attitude is an example of your strong faith.

Mannie, I'm sorry to hear
Mannie, I'm sorry to hear you're on Hospice but it sounds like you're still doing really well! Chicken soup, eh?
Hey, Congrats on your 40th wedding anniversary. Hubby and I celebrated our 39th last Saturday.
Since we won't meet here, I'll look you up in Gloryland.
