I am sorry to hear of your
I am sorry to hear of your diagnoses but do not live in your area. I just wanted to say that I think second opinions are important. Also bring someone to your appointments that can listen and write things down for you. When the docs talk you will not hear all of it. I brought paper and pen and didn't write anything and then my husband and I were talking at home and both thinking they said different things. Good Luck in your search and treatment.
I also suggest writing down quetions to ask and bringing them with you.

Welcome, shaanu
Glad you found us, though sorry for your diagnosis. We're all here to support and encourage each other.
I live very far away from you, so cannot help with your request for a recommendation.
Best wishes to you.
Kind regards, Susan0 -

Not Sure About Oncologist from my Doctorshaanu said:Thank you
Thank you all for your help and welcome. I will call the ACS. I'm plugging into a network of friends to get referrals ... it's hard making decisions!!
I also will be needing an oncologist. I received a name from my doctor who recommended someone close to my home.
I live in Northwest Phoenix. Anyone out here who knows of someone that may be good?
Thanks,
Maryann0
