    Congratulations, CR, and all
Congratulations, CR, and all of you ladies who finally feel the need to liberate themselves from the use of wigs, scarfs, or hats. A funny story, my oldest son and his children were here at Christmas, and I patiently tried my best to wear my wig while they were here. Finally, the second afternoon, my head felt it would explode if I didn't get it off my head. I told my son I was going to take the wig off, and he was so disappointed that I had been miserable all that time, just trying to make them comfortable. Anyway, off came the wig, and after about ten minutes, my 5 year old grandson came up and whispered in my ear saying, "you look just like me...a boy". His grin said it all. I had become part of his "group". Sometimes being bare headed is the best way to clear the hearts of others, as well as your own. It is a big first step, but since that time, I have left my "shields" behind, and have become my new self. Those uncomfortable with my lack of hair just had to deal with it in their own way. I was liberated, and never looked back. I finally have enough hair to style, and look somewhat normal, but quite frankly, if I am happy with my appearance, then who cares what anyone else thinks. Go girls!!!!! It feels great to take control, no matter how small the event. Hugs.

    Well said, Judy
And thanks for sharing the lovely story about your grandson. I believe that children, in general, are more accepting than we usually give them credit for.

    Kind regards, Susan
