Thank you, Mimi. I will definitely visit this blog. I like the phrasing, "hormone negative" as opposed to the highly connotative TN.
Moopy, check out the article in the blog about TAC chemo improving the odds of survival for triple negatives. This was not proven when we started chemo, and my doctor went on her own belief that this was true. Good news for us!

I went to the site as soon as I read your post, but I missed that article. I will go back. You know, my onc. here believed--and he told me that ALL of his colleagues at the clinic agreed with him--that the clinical trial AC plus T and maybe Avastin was best. You know I went with the St. Louis doctor and TAC. I am just thrilled with this news.0 -
Triple Negative, 5cm tumor & scared!!!!
Recently diagnosed at age 49. Will start chemo on Monday. Did node biopsy, negative nodes, Breast MRI, no ddifferent from biopsy &ultrasound. Had PET scan on Thursday, horrified of getting results, thinking it will show something more than the other tests. I'm praying for a miracle!!!

Diagnosis is triple negative breast cancer
I have one more treatment of taxol , scheduled for lymphnode surgery the end of September this anticipation in overwhelming at this point. The unknown is THE most difficult situation I've ever lived through. Any suggestions ??
