By Belleruth Naperstek? Her CD's are great. I wished I had listened to them during chemo, I found them afterward and enjoyed the General Health and Wellness one to help me feel better about my body. She has a nice webpage called Health Journeys. I never gave anything New Agey a second glance before DX, but now have learned a lot and healed a lot through alternative ideas (and yoga). love, Joyce0 -
No, it is by Ellen Chernoff Simon. She has a really soothing voice. I did look up Naperstek's site, and her stuff seems good, too. I will probably buy a few of these to mix it up during treatment. Yoga sounds like something to try as well. Is this something you got into after your treatments were over?Joycelouise said:By Belleruth Naperstek? Her

Yes, after, but I wish I had started earlier. My yoga studio has something called restorative yoga that holds positions with pillows for 10 minutes at a time, no strain, that would have been great durin chemo. Yoga really helped me after TX when I felt like things would never be good again...everyday that I went to yoga, I saw and felt my body getting stronger, more able. On the day I did a handstand, something I hadn't tried in years, I almost cried to feel a connection with my former healthy self.
Also, if you have Kaiser, they offer free entire CD listens to alot of Belleruth Napersteks CDs, including ones on sleeping, anxiety, etc.
I hope you are feeling better. Don't get discouraged when you have a bad day. It just isn't a smooth ride. Get through each day as best as possible and don't make any conclusions for a while.
Hugs, Joyce0
