Oh My, sweet Texy~ I wish I had more to offer you than cyber-hugs!! I am so glad you posted , even though sometimes writing things down makes it REAL, at the same time it is a relief. It somehow puts things in order, and we can take stock and deal with the whatevers.
You have quite a plateful, don't you sweetie? I agree with your son, you are indeed a strong woman! I have the feeling you might wish you weren't so strong some of the time~ that way you could fall apart and curl up in a ball and hibernate for a while! I know I feel that way more often than I want to admit! But to quote from the Denzel Washington movie The Great Debaters, "We do what we HAVE to do, so we can do what we WANT to do". And you will get through this! AGAIN!
I just want to send you love and all things good...and you know that the Cyber-Sisters ( and brothers!)will be praying for you as well. You are not alone in this, and we reach out to you just as you reach out to us.
Hugs and love,

one step at a time
You can get through it if you take one step at a time. Sometimes it's overwhelming. I was in another state when I was diagnosed and went through treatment. We decided to move closer to our boys a few years later but instead went to Indiana where most of the family was. After a year we ended up with the boys in Texas. I still don't know how it's going to turn out but I really like the song verse, 'You can't always get what you want but if you try sometimes, you get what you need.' So I guess the best thing to do is look deep inside and figure out what you feel the best thing is to do. The times I've done that I can look back on it and know I did the best thing for the situation at the time.0 -

Hi Linda: Wish I was near you to be able to give you a hug in person, but the cyber hugs will have to do. I know you're scared and gong through very difficult times right now, but you have to think of yourself also. You need to begin the chemo so that you can be here for your family. I agree with your son, you are a very strong and fabulous woman that will get through this with our help. If your son feels he needs to come back then maybe he should. Hopefully, with his friend's help he was able to overcome whatever demons were plaguing him before. You will need his support also, Linda. God bless and hugs to you, Lili0 -

Must say I got a BIG smile from you using that Rolling Stones classic~ I used to sing it to my daughter when I wouldn't allow her to do/go everthing/everywhere as a child! We still crack up when we hear that song, and sometimes we still sing it to each other! Thanks for that memory!
