Hope Boxes

Hey All!
I'm new to this board, and was actually just wondering if anyone could help me out with a project I'm working on.
I'm cancer survivor, who was diagnosed when I was 13 with Non Hodjkins Lymphoma. I went through a year's worth of chemo and missed about a year of school. Thank God I'm a healty 22 yr old now, but every time I go back to the clinic for check ups and see the other kids there for their treatments, it reminds me of how scared and alone I felt at the time.
I want to make up "Hope Boxes" to bring to the clinic the next time I have an appt. Does anyone have any good ideas of what I can put IN the boxes? Besides stickers and a note, maybe a journal? Does anyone have any great/hopefull poems or quotes that helped them get through this? Any advise at all would be greatly appreciated.... thank you so much for taking the time to read this post. Take care : )

If there is a symbol for NHL similar to the pink ribbon for breast cancer you might include that.
Perhaps a small 'huggable' figure to hang on to during doctor visits.
Could you have some of those plastic bracelets made up saying 'I am a NFL survivor' or something like that?
And you know how some elderly ppl have panic buttons? Maybe you could include a 'panic clicker'...for the child to click when he is feeling in need of immediate attention.
Great project by the way! God bless you.0
