My hubby has had 1 FOLFOX4 treatment and has severe Jaw pain, like really bad TMJ. Has anyone experienced this?

Yep - I had it. Really ached in my jaw. It seemed to be worse for the first four days or so and then decreased...but of course it repeats with each cycle. It is a common side effect. My hope is that someone will chime in with somethng that helped...
All the best to you and I hope your husband is feeling better...?
Take care,

Does he just have jaw pain when eating? The "first bite syndrome" is pretty common for those of us undergoing FOLFOX. It's like a painful spasm. For me, it just lasts a second or two, during the first bite or two of a meal. For me, just lasted a couple of days after each treatment. If he is experiencing more general, long-lasting pain, that sounds like something different.0

Hi,
My father had a strange pain in his jaw when he took his first bite of food, but it then went away after the first bite. His onc recommended a calcium supplement. My father complained of it in the beginning of his chemo treatments, but it seemed to go away after awhile.
