Pity party

I was feeling sorry for myself one day and my best friend told me to go ahead and have myself a pity party and get it out of my system. Well, my birthday was around the corner, so instead of a birthday party, I decided to literally throw myself a pity party! We had black balloons and crepe paper everywhere. Everyone has to bring something pitiful instead of a gift. Some of the things that were brought were bad job reviews, bad report cards, dead plants, etc. It was a hoot! We of course, gave a "booby prize" to the winner! The cake was all in pink, had a pink bra with 2 boobs on it, with little Barbie dolls with bandaids on their boobs stuck in the corners. My nickname since I was a kid is Boo, so everyone got a tshirt that said Poor Boo...b! It was a wonderful way to bring everyone together and laugh about a crazy situation.

It helped me get over myself in a hurry. We can't let cancer take away our laughter even if it's a little dark!

Lots of hugs to all! And don't be afraid to have your own pity party!

Susan

    Susan!!!! That's the spirit!!!

I know for a fact that the beast HATES laughter...it slunk away with it's tail between it's legs after trying 2 times with me!

Pity parties? Of course! I remember rolling up in a ball, and swearing NEVER to do ANOTHER infusion!!!!!!! And bawling!!!

What a GREAT way to dispell the gloom! I am going to remember your idea forever!

    Hugs, Kathi

Dear Susabella---What a clever, funny and heartfelt way of expunging "the Beast". You treated the reality of where you were and spinned it into a hilarious self-deprecating and "I am going to get this devil" kinda time. I wish I coulda come, lol. And not that long ago you were wondering how we all stay hopeful!

    Now you know.

By having friends like you in here, who teach us how to stay in the moment with humour and keep us laughing right along with you. Thank You!

    (((((((hugs)))))) and Laughter, Kathy

P.S. I am so dense, it wasn't til I read it the 2nd time, that I got the "BOOBIE" prize. Which made me love it even more, lmao. Damn Funny, Girl
