My Husband's Battle is Over

With a heavy heart, I must tell you that my husband lost his fight with cancer early yesterday morning. I'm grateful that he is no longer in pain. On the otherhand I'm broken-hearted and hurting terribly. I don't know how I'm going to make it if the Lord doesn't help me. I feel like a candidate for a breakdown. Please continue to keep me in your prayers as I start this journey alone.

I am so very sorry for your loss. I know exactly how you feel and I also know that the Lord WILL help you in this time of grief and pain. Reach out to Him and you will find peace and comfort. That is the only thing that has helped get me thru the same thing just a few short months ago. You should also reach out to those that love you and that includes all of us here in this site.
Take care dear afraid and if you need to talk I will always be there for you.
God bless you and yours

You will never be alone with us here . One part of your life has ended, your husband stayed with you as long as he could, heaven knows it never seems long enough and in the end the relief of release is far better than the pain of his suffering. Time will heal. You have my deepest sympathy and my wish for peace and eventual happiness Ron.0

Im so sorry for your loss. I know how scary it is. My mom just loss my dad 3 months ago and she feels very alone and overwhelmed. Im glad you have your daughter she will help you through this. I tell my mom she is not alone, she has us. Its so hard to lose a husband and im sure you dont think this but in time it does get better. The hardest part for me losing my dad is I cant get the thoughts of his last days out of my mind because he suffered so much. I do believe in time it will get better and it will get better for you. Oh, Lois....
I have been praying for you, and looking for your post, although dreading this news. Dearheart, I can only say I am sending my strongest hugs and that I KNOW you will endure!
When we lose someone dear to us, our world turns sideways, and, for a while, the future seems pretty empty and dim. Give yourself some time to cry, and yell, and shake your fist. Even Job got angry...but then said basically "Thy will be done".
We all live with the fear of the beast catching up with us...I, personally, only hope that my passing is without pain. This you, with a kind heart, made possible for your husband. It was the highest act of love.
Grieve for his loss, but also remember to celebrate his life. And the wonderful ways in which he touched this earth....you, his daughter...all the people in your joint world.
I am sorry for your loss, but the Lord has already helped you in countless ways, have faith and trust in Him.
"Here are my hands, Lord, use them by your will"

I'm am so sorry for your lost, but he was suffering and in a way you have to feel relief that all his suffering came to an end and now he is with the Lord and some day you will reunite with him, ask God for peace in your heart and I am sure that you are going to start feeling better, and as everybody is telling you you will never be alone this is your family forever. Lots of hugs. Betina0

Dear Lois,
I am so sorry for your loss. Ron is in the better place now with the Lord and he is not suffering any longer. He is now free. And one day you will meet again. I know you loved your husband very much and this love you need to remember and cherish.
I feel your pain. Only time will heal. So, now take your time in grieving. Maybe your church has some kind of support group.
The Lord is with you, He will help you through this.
If you want to talk you can call or e-mail me any time.
May God bless Ron's soul and you and help you.

Dear afraidinindy,
Find comfort in knowing that your husband is out of pain and is now watching over you and your daughter. He will send you signs that he is OK. Pay attention and you will notice them. My mother passed on 6/13 of this year and I can't even tell you how many times the #13 has popped up in our every day life. Its kinda neat. For instance, my son ran in his first cross country meet a few weeks ago and came in 13th place! My daughter and I recently flew in an airplace and we sat in row 13. I know that may makes others nervous but I just felt comfort knowing that she would help us have a safe plane ride.
The Lord will help you and if you need to do it have a breakdown. Release it and let it all out.
In support and prayers,

Dear Indy -
I am so sorry for your loss. I can't even imagine your pain, but hopefully you can take comfort in the good memories and know that your husband is no longer suffering.
You and your family will be in my thoughts.
Take care,

I am so very sorry to hear of your loss. There are times we do not understand why we have to lose the ones we love. Three years ago I lost my Mom and neice the same week. I found that God cares. He cares for you too. I will continue to pray for you. Please think of us as your family. We are here for you.

I am so sorry to hear about your husband's passing. Do you have relatively nearby to comfort you? I can't even begin to imagine what you must be going through right now, but please take comfort of the thought that your husband is no longer in pain.
Take good care of yourself.
