My Husband's Battle is Over

I am so sorry for your loss. I know how your entire life has been caring for your husband. He is so lucky to have had you to help fight his battle. Now you must take care of yourself. It is what he would want. You and your husband will be in my prayers and thoughts.
May God bless you with peace and comfort in the days ahead.

I just wanted to share this poem with you. I hope you like it as much as I did when I first heard it:
Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sun on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the mornings hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
of quiet birds on winged flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry.
I am not there, I did not die.
May God give you strengh in your time of need,

I am so very sorry to hear the sad news and hope and pray for strength for you and your family. I know how hard it must have been to post your message...perhaps you can find a bit of comfort with these words from a favourite hymn..
"and HE will lift him up on eagles wings
bear him on the breath of dawn
make him shine like the sun
and hold him in the palm of HIS hands"

Sorry to hear about the loss of your husband. I'm sure that there is some relief in knowing that he is no longer suffering and is in a better place.
You will remain in our prayers. You did alot for your husband and have to take care of yourself. You may find a grief group to be helpful.
