My heart is breaking....

My very frightened young friend with the brain tumor passed today at 4pm. He had recently been responding well to the new chemo, and was going to start Physical Therapy today....no regrowth on the tumor...
Brain swelling is the preliminary cause of death....

So very, very young....what a waste....36.

I HATE THIS BEAST...IT DOES NOT PLAY BY ANY RULES!!!!

    I am so sorry to hear about your friend's passing. Although I've never met him, it still feels as if I look over my shoulder and someone has gone missing.

    36 - so young, so sad, so senseless.

    The only comforting thought is that he's no longer suffering.

    I'm so sorry, Kathi, that your friend's journey ended so suddenly and without warning, especially when he seemed to have such good response to treatment. It's kinda like pulling the rug out from under you. Take care, friend.

    Yes, he was a keeper....
    I find myself questioning my own desire to paint the good picture to anyone....I must only be the exception as far as beating the odds....

    Oh Sweetie,

    I am so so very sorry. This is such a dreaded disease. And to affect so many young people is a tragedy.

    He was blessed to have a friend like you. Although we would rather have him here on earth, he is now forever by your side.

    Please accept my condolences.

    It is posts like this that continually nag me to get my children tested early.

    Please know that he is now free in the better place with God. It is especially difficult when this happens to young people. I don't know the reason for this, except that maybe God had a different kind of plan for him....

    my eyes are stinging with the sad news...such a true statement that cancer does not play by the rules...why can't someone somewhere find a way to eradicate this disease...
