Hi Sue,
I have heard tons (literally tons!) of stories where CEA increased, and it was nothing (literally nothing!). So don't put too much thought into it. Obviously, communicate with your doc the concerns you have and maybe additional testing?
Best wishes,

Hi Sue -
Like Stacy says, this can happen easily. In fact, if CEA were such a reliable indicator of cancer, it would be standard to use it as a routine diagnostic test. But it isn't used that way because it isn't that clear cut. I know you can't help but worry, but the clear CT sounds great and the PET show add another dimension - which hopefully will alleviate your concerns.
Take care,

Hiya Sue, I agree with everyone else...my CEA was low at original dx and has never gone over 5.Metinks that your bubbly, effervecent attitude at Austin must have played havoc with your genes gal. It's all that excitement that has made yah body go haywire...you'll be fine sweetie!Kanort said:Hi Sue,
As our buddies have stated, CEA is one of those strange things. I'm just sorry that you having to even think about it. Postitive vibes and prayers are being sent your way for the 30th.
Hugs,
Kay
