Sorry to hear that your father has had a reoccurence. Capecitabine (Xeloda) is the name of the drug. Go to PubMed and enter the name into the search bar. There are many articles about the use of the drug from doctors.
What were your father's surgical margins or pathology? What treatment drugs did he take after surgery?
My wife had the same surgery last Oct. so I understand.0 -
My father's tumor was only 1 1/2 cms before he had surgery. It did not invade his lymph nodes at all. It hasn't metastasized and the doctors have told us that pancreatic cancer rarely, if ever, does. After surgery my father began chemotherapy and radiation. I'm not quite sure of the treatment drugs that he took after the surgery. I hope your wife is doing well!noltus said:Sorry to hear that your father has had a reoccurence. Capecitabine (Xeloda) is the name of the drug. Go to PubMed and enter the name into the search bar.
