Long-term effects of chemo

Can anyone tell me if they have had long-term side effects from their cancer treatments? I had a right nephrectomy followed by chemo and radiation for a Wilm's Tumor at the age of 18 months. Just wondering if there are long-term effects I should be thinking about.
Thank you.
Thank you.

I'm not sure if you have had your questions answered, but I'd be happy to talk with you by e-mail. I also was also diagnosed with Wilms Tumor at 18 months and treated with surgery, chemo and radiation. A year later the cancer had spread to my lung and I had intensive chemotherapy and radiation.
I am now 31 years old. I have had many late effects, but from what it sounds like, I had much more radiation and chemotherapy than you did.
Let me know if you still are searching for information and I'd be happy to talk with you. The book that others have recommended (Childhood Cancer-A Practical Guide to your Future) is amazing. I just found it myself and have learned so, so much.0 -
Hi! I as well had ALL when I was three years-old. I had high amounts of chemo and radiation. Like yourself, I too have learning disabilities in math concepts, short term memorie ablities, and spelling. I am now 24 and have my A.S.S degree and working toward my B.A. degree. Our stories were just to similar for me to pass by without leaving you a message. Please feel free to drop me a line. sorcharose.............
