I have finished my radiation and now will be taking Xeloda for about 16 weeks every 2 weeks with a week of in between.

With Keytruda you have to have the PDL-1 protein on your cancer cells to receive it. I was diagnosed in April of 23 with TNBC stage 2B. I went through 12 cycles of Taxol/Carbo and had a rough time with that portion of chemo. I had no issues with AC. Had surgery in Dec and did not have a PCR but did have a good partial with one of the tumors. Currently getting 30 rounds of radiation which has been a piece of cake compared to chemo. I continue with Keytruda every 3 weeks. Has any one else had bone pain after chemo?

I will be started Capecitabine in March. Hoping it helps keep my TNBC 2B stage from coming back. I didn't have a complete response to TC and AC. Had a lumpectomy and removed both tumors.

I had TNBC 2 years ago. I had 7 rounds of chemo, a lumpectomy, and radiation. My surgeon told me that lumpectomy has just as good an outcome as mastectomy with fewer complications. Keep in mind that that is just me, everyone is different. Fortunately my margins were clear and I have been cancer free for two years. The important thing is to find an oncologist that you trust and that has a good reputation. I wish you all the best! Sunny

It's amazing how all of us get different treatments. I got 12 rounds of Taxol/Carbo, 4 rounds of Adriamycin/Cytoxen with Keytruda every 3 weeks, now 30 rounds of radiation, followed by 6 months (8 cycles) of Xeloda (capcitibine) and continue with the Keytruda. I was diagnosed in April of last year with stage 2 metastatic TNBC. My tumors were contained within the breast and the largest was 1.7 cm. It's been a tough road but made it through the worst. I was having bad bone pain and feared that it had spread to my bones but the scans all came back negative.

What is the name of the immunotherapy drug you are taking? Hopefully my WBC will be higher at the next blood draw so I can still keep taking Xeloda.

Did you have WBC drop with radiation treatments? I am getting radiation for 6 weeks and just finished week 4. My WBC and Lymphocytes have dropped very low.

I took Keytruda. I didn't seem to notice any real side effects from it, but then again, it's always so hard to tell what's coming from where during treatment! Best of luck to you!

Keytruda is the immunotherapy that I am getting.

Iam on my 3rd round of Xeloda and I am having pain in my rt knee. I do feel tired also. I am also having pain in my arm where I had the lymph nodes removed and I am not sure what's going on there. I see my Oncologist tomorrow and will ask about that. Also, the surgeon Dr. says he feels a lump in the other breast that did not have any cancer!!

My platelets are low 137. So, I have a lot to talk to my Oncologist about.

I hope things turn out well for you. Chemo causes so many side effects, which makes to hard to tell what's cancer vs drug effects. How long has it since your surgery?

I am taking that now. The dr. should prescribe a cream to use to keep your hands and feet moisturized.

My doctor didn't say anything about side effects except nausea. I have been reading and many people have problems with their hands and feet. What did your doctor prescribe?
