I have had two ports. Zero problems and they saved the veins in my arms - possibly saved my arms.

Same here. The fear is worse than the procedure. Its a very simple and fast procedure. Plus she will be asleep. Its well worth the inconvenience of having it installed.Wish her well. I have relatives in Vegas and I used to live there in the distant past. However I now live far from there.

I'm a 21 year survivor. I had to tell myself I was to mean to die. Every one else calls me an angle but I had to believe I could beat it. I was also pregnant so I was double sick. I did as much of my normal stuff that I could. Try not to look at her pitifully. She needs to know you have faith she can survive so she will believe in herself. My husband went to church prayed and cried, but he never let me see him cry till about a year after my last treatment. We were moving the bed and huge nest looking lump of my hair was under the bed.
