Does anyone here have CLL? My sister has it and she's looking for a CLL doctor. Unfortunately, she's in Alabama and as far as we've been able to determine, there are no CLL doctors in Alabama.

I don't know what your travel situation might be, but you need to check out MD Anderson hospital in Houston, TX. You can check their web sight or check out Health Talk web sight too. If you would like an 800 number for the hospital, please let me know.

It looks like the University of Alabama - Birmingham is a Comprehensive Cancer Center, which is the highest level designated by the NCI. I have no personal knowledge, but I would imagine that they have someone well qualified to help your sister.

I went to MDAnderson to get my protocol and one treatment. Then I did the next four at Vanderbuilt Cancer Center in Nashville to be nearer to my home. The Dr. at MDA is Wierda and at Vanderbuilt DR. Jagasia.

You can find help from the CLL Society

    cllsociety.org

they will help you find a cll specialist and provide a second opinion on treatment choices by a top specialist (free to you, video consultation).

they also have many webinars on various CLL issues
