Has anyone had a neuroendocrine tumor of the rectum, anus, or colon? I was diagnosed with rectal cancer, a neuroendocrine type, in 2002 at age 32, and I am told it is a rare type of tumor to occur in the rectal/anal area. I had chemo, a colostomy, radiation in 2002-early 2003, then a recurrence this past Sept. 2003 in my liver, with a good respose to chemo so far.

Any responses with information would be appreciated.

My goodness, the date on this post is OLD - as in 18 years old.

The other posters haven't been on the forum for almost that long, so there will be no replies from them, I'm thinking

But, hello JoshC. I hope you are doing well - or as well as can be expected.

No, someone called georgeannes. Looks like they only posted eight times, and then didn't come back on the forum.

I was diagnosed with this type of tumor. They tried chemo as a treatment it didn’t work and the mad on my bladder grew 1cm and the others along with the mass in the rectal area remained the same. My physician just switched me to immunotherapy and I am praying that it works. Has anyone had success with immunotherapy?

    good luck!!
