Good News/Bad News - CHEMO DONE!!! Chemo Not Working
The good news is I am done with FOLFORI
The bad nes is I am done with FOLFORI
K-rap. What I thought was happening last scan has happened. It stopped working. More mets and the bad boys have started growing again, one pushing 6 cM. Yay. Looking for trials now and then at other possible chemos if there is no trial or the trail fails.

Good luck
My oncologist said it usually only works for about 3 months so thought I was lucky it worked for a year and a half.
I'm on Oxaliplatin and xeloda again and ended up in hospital for 3 days over the weekend. I seriously thought the crap was going to kill me. The hospital doctor told me to hold off on xeloda until nausea is better, I'll probably try taking it tomorrow, Of course this throws me off their desired 3 week schedule. It will be more like 4 weeks between oxaliplatin infusions. The 3 week xelox schedule was recommended by my oncologist at Mayo clinic. I am going to call him and see if I should even still be taking it. He said there were a coupld other things I can try such as regorafiv and nivolumab combo. and possible trials at mayo. Although he thought my best optoin for now was the oxaliplatin due to higher response rate. trials are uncertain as we know.
Where is your main clinic? I'd like to know if they have any better options for you. or that I can try.

Thanks Joan
Will let you know if I come across any trials. The one they think works for me is a Phase I. My oncologist was not very positive about II or IIIs out there based on my situation. But she says I can ask her anyting at anytime. She is awesome. It was a tough conversation for her to have with me, i could see it in her face.

Granted it is not the greatest scenario and I know what this probably means, but I am not giving up Tru. To use your phrase, stiff upper lip. Urg, this stinks

As I kind of joke around - after almost 5 years of this, I am kind of seeing why cancer and chemo have a bad rep. Still trying to joke right now, but it is a tougher day to do it....

Trial
I'm sorry to hear that is no longer working for you, and hopefully you can find a trial soon that will give some results. I'm sure that you have given thought to another opinion, however it's good to hear that you like your doctor.
