Those jitters are hard. Did you have tumor markers? If those went down, then you could try to remember that. My markers went down by a third and the pre surgery scan showed that the tumors shrunk by a third. I know not everyone gets tumor markers. Was your tumor removed before your chemo? So the scan is just to make sure no other cancer cells?
Hi Abita, yes, this CT scan is to make sure I'm clear of cancer cells. I had my colectomy surgery back in August and follow up with the adjuvant chemo therapy. THose jitters are here to stay until I find out the result.

well, I can't say don't worry, because I know that isn't possible. But I will be hoping for the best outcome for you! I hated waiting a week, I can't even imagine 2 months. Try to enjoy the Spring (I know this is not a spring day) and feel great knowing this most likely is behind you! Plan a great Memorial Day weekend trip or adventure to distract you when your thoughts "go there".

Since my completion of my adjuvant chemotherapy on 2/2/18, I had my bloodwork done last week. My WBC is almost back to normal but my blood platelets are still a bit low. My next CT scan (with contrast) is scheduled on 5/3/18. It's 2 months away and I'm already feeling jittery.
You have been strong throughout the treatment process, and all signs are pointing in the right direction. You will be clean and put this episode of your life in the rear view mirror. We all know that cancer can come back in the future in some cases but not all. You've had such a positive attitude throughout your teatments, keep it going and you will be found to be clean at your CT Scan.

I try to keep myself busy and it helps not to always dwell on it. Thank you so much Barry for your encouragement always!

Thanks Abita! I know I will get even more anxious as I get closer to that date. Ugh! At least I have my kitties keeping me busy.

Mike, thank you so much and I sure will. Are you in your 3rd or 4th? If I remember correctly, you started your adjuvant in December, right? Believe it or not, before you know it, you'll be reaching at your last treatment!
I'm in my 4th and don't think I'll do more than 6.
