Adénocarcinome endometriale stage4 with nodules in peritoneum

Hello

My name is sandrine. i am french. i am 40 

I have a adénocarcinoma endometrial stage4 because i have tumor on peritoneum.  I had surgery but failed because the tumor was too large. So I had chemotherapy to decrease the lesions.( cisplatine, adriamycine and endoxan)

It's very difficult but after 6 cures,  The surgeon decides to operate again. Unfortunately he sees that the diaphragm also to nodules. Surgery is still impossible

Now I will still have chemo(carbo taxol)...

I am very afraid.  Who had the peritoneum with lesions?

    Try not to get ahead of yourself - do you know what I mean? It sounds like you did respond at least somewhat to the chemo you had, and it's not uncommon to have nodes involved. I, too, have stage 4 adenocarcinoma, 2 years and 9 different chemotherapies in that time, and surgery. Everything has had mixed results - some regression and some progression. But - I am hanging in there! We can make it! There is new stuff happening everyday - our cancer is very similar to ovarian cancer so some of those advancements may work for us, too. I am preparing to be in a trial now - called the NCI MATCH Trial. Please ask your oncologist about it. It is nationwide and has 24 different "arms" to the study. They test your genetic mutations and the chemo is targeted directly to the mutation you have. Whatever is available to you, don't be afraid to ask questions or get a second and even a third opinion. You deserve the best! Keep your chin up and know that we are all here for you. XOX

    Welcome to our group, but I am so sorry that you needed to find us. I'm not quite in the same situation as you are, but there are others here who are also dealing with advanced stages of this cancer like you and I'm sure some of them will respond with their stories when they see this thread. You'll see that there is still reason to have hope in spite of how scary all of this is.

    There is always hope And,you are not alone.   New treatments are becoming available all the time.  We are all so different. I did have surgery 4 years ago, but it has returned to a number of different places that are not operable.  It has been treated with several different types of chemo.  Taxol /carbo worked for quite awhile.  Doxil worked on small tumors, Avastin worked very well until I had a major reaction to it.  I am now on an immunotherapy drug and it may be,working.  Don't give up hope.  It has been four years for me with stage four and,I am still here.  I have many more good days than bad.  And I plan on having many more good days ahead.  Sending you many Hugs and prayer.

    Don't give up, Sandrine. That chemo (carbo/taxol) is the standard treatment here is the US. And there are a lot of non-surgical options for you if it doesn't work. You are not alone. We are here with you. ((Hugs)) Kim

    Stay in today- don't get too far out into the future.  See the things today that bring you joy, comfort, hope, peace, beauty, love- look for the blessings and give that your focus and attention.  The medical side will play out however it will but in the meantime you can lessen that fear by facing it with courage and faith that TODAY you are alive - what will you use your precious time on?  You are stronger and more able than you can even imagine Innocent

    Yes to Avastin

    I have Serous Pappillary Endomedrial andocarcinoma and I was on Avastin for awhile, in fact it was the genomic match for me.  It was working very well for me.  My CA 125 was dropping and a CT scan showed shrinkin.  I had to stop it because I ended up with one of the rare but serious side effects.
