Great news, Jason. Stomps quote rings so true, but isn't it hard not to fear this cancer? We all try hard to put it out of our head, but in reality it's there. I'm hopeful that outcomes like yours give us more hope and lessen the burden of our anxiety. Thanks for sharing the news.

I had mine removed 7 weeks ago. Like what you have said, it is difficult to not think about it and the pain from the incision is like a reminder. Life is totally different since the diagonsis and I hope time is gonna help.

Cool, cool, cool! So happy
Cool, cool, cool! So happy everything turned out right! That is why I like the way ultrasounds are done in our country - it is not the tech who performs them, but the doc himself/herself. So all additional checks, etc can be done right there.

your family needs you. What could be more motivating?
Absolutely, my friend... I think that's why this time was so hard on me. He's so much fun.

ugh. must have been scary.jason.2835 said:Crisis averted
Hey, all,
I appreciate the support during my 18 hours of terror but it seems that it was unfounded. The ultrasound tech said that there were some "lobulations" of my remaining kidney that looked a little weird to the doctor so they just wanted to get some extra pics of the area to make sure there was nothing hiding in there. They actually told me the results right then and there... all clear.

Congratulations it was just lobulations, lol!!!

Stomps,
I would've expected a Chruchill quote, not FDR haha! "A pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity; an optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty." is one of my faves. Thanks for the support!

Most of my Churchill quotes are just inappropriate or rude. He was accosted one evening by a female Member of Parliament who declared:
"Mr Churchill, you are drunk!" He replied "Yes madam, and you are ugly. However, in the morning, I shall be sober."
or there is:
"Mr Churchill, you are so vile, if I were your wife I would put poison in your tea."
"Madam, if you were my wife, I would gladly drink it."
