Just a note folks....

3.5 years out - NED. Despite lingering side effects (definitely a PITA but all part of the "new normal") I'm functioning at 90+% pre cancer in terms of saliva, swallowing, eating, taste etc. Rad Onc couldn't have been more pleased. next poke, scope and prod in Feb. 2017.

Keep up the good fight!

Positive thoughts and prayers

"T"

    Congrats!

I hope to follow in your footsteps! Just finished treatments on 7/15/16 with first PET scheduled in October. Hope my news for the next few years is as good as yours.

Hope all of your future scans work out the same!!

    Outstanding

This is good news to hear "T". I remember when you joined the "Club" that no one wants to be a part of as Phrannie51 often states. I am also happy to read that your saliva and other functions have returned to almost 100%. And last but not least, your voice and ability to sing at a high level once again.

My Best to You and Everyone Here

    Awesome

    T

So happy to here all is good in your world. We are 3 months behind you and have Rob's appt tomorrow. He had a chest CT in January and it was all good, so we expect to hear the same words tomorrow that NED is still our friend. He has gotten about 70% saliva and taste back, doesn't have a great sense of smell anymore, and suffers from myoclonus, which they have no idea why, so we now have a neurologist in our portfolio. Had a neck and brain MRI and he has a neck and a brain (could have fooled me sometimes) and they really don't know why he has the myoclonus but Keppra keeps it uder control pretty good. All in all life is good.
