Eating solids again! Week
This is my fifth week post radiation and I haven't had to take pain medication for about a week (was only taking tylenol in the end). (day 27 post rad...I ate one piece of white pizza with no tomato sauce and it tasted soooooo good, (day 28 post rad...I added poached eggs over toast (dribbled hot water over the toast) and it was wonderful. Today I ate a veggie crispy chik cutlet baked in the oven and it totally tasted normal. It feels so good to be making real progress finally! Eating solid foods has really cheered me up. There is light at the end of the tunnel.
I hope everyone on here experiences something good this week. The doctors told me not to expect daily changes and they were exactly right. It seems each week I notice something new and I love it. Good luck everyone!

You all riding the bus together
are doing great! My hat is off to all of you. Gypsy - you ARE brave, you will find reserves inside you that you didn't know you had! Joanne...2nd chemo - check that baby off the list! Hopefully the nausea won't be too bad. Try and keep swallowing. LiseA - you are a poster child for proactive care. I love how you are researching and trying to find even the smallest thing to make it better, then sharing it with others. Joseph - it sounds like you are doing really well for 5 weeks post - keep experimenting with what you can eat. Prayers for all of you.

Praying for all of you, and I
Praying for all of you, and I
promise to come by and be here during your journey. I'm feeling the effects more now. Completed two treatments today (rads) and was worn out.
Tomorrow is D day me! Don't do like I did and suffer a whole week before taking pain meds.
My big mistake. For all recovering, wishing you great things as you continue. For those still on this treatment journey, you can do it. It is HARD! Sores in mouth are a PITA! But one day we will be eating pizza and this will all be behind us.
