Since Moli had so many types
Since Moli had so many types of surgeries going on, I have to believe it will take her several days to get to a point of doing anything. I have a friend that had a tummy tuck and it was quite painful for her. I'm just hopeful that they were able to get all of her cancer without damage to her colon or other functions. The waiting game is so darn hard for all of us!
Here's to sending Moli loads of healing vibes!
Love and Hugs,
Cindi

Oh my Pinky! I'm sorry thatpinky104 said:The Waiting Game
I went in for DaVinci surgery, but when I got there, my gyn/onc had finally gotten time to check out my CT scan report from the hospital where I worked, and he told me he couldn't do it the DaVinci way. I had guessed that when I saw my own report. I'd called his office to talk to him, but had to leave a message with his office staff, which I would say he never got. I ended up being in the hospital for 6 days. My sister, an LPN, came with me and pushed the doctor to take my gallbladder out at the same time as my cancer surgery so I wouldn't need a 2nd surgery for the gallstones that had shown up on my CT scan. He scrambled and got another doctor who specialized in that kind of surgery to assist him that day. I was originally supposed to be back to work in 2 weeks. Instead, I was in the hospital for 6 days because I didn't get a return of my bowel function for that long. It may have had something to do with the inedible hospital food! My boss had expected me to call from home in a day or two but I was still flat on my back in my hospital room at that point. My stepson came from a bordering state to visit me post surgery, and when he saw all the tubes in me and how bad I looked (I'd lost a lot of blood and needed two units), he decided he'd better travel back again the next day. I got almost no sleep when I was in because of a noisy roommate who kept the TV on all night and because I'd developed a UTI that I didn't getting treated for until the day I left.
Let's hope Moli hasn't run into her own set of problems....
Oh my Pinky! I'm sorry that your surgery was so tough. Take your time healing. Work will have to wait. Hoping for a good recovery.

Waiting to hear with all of you...
Just chiming in to say that I, too, am waiting for an encouraging word and hope that you, Moli, are healing well, but I realize this is likely to be a drawn out process. Best wishes!

Ladies, I have also been thinking about our Moli
and if ever life ought to be fair, this is the time for such an event. Each of us know in our hearts that getting cancer is not only unfair but unacceptable. No one should experience this horror, whether it is insidious cancer, heart disease, diabetes, blindness or strokes to name a few. I sure hope Moli is resting peacefully and is as comfortable as possible. I am wishing for the best for her.

Thanks for your sympathy. I guess I should've mentioned that I'm now 6 years out from my surgery (I had it in May, 2010) so I'm already very well healed from it. Two years later, I had to have another surgery in the same area for an incisional hernia, which wasn't fun either. I had shoulder surgery a year before my cancer surgery and bunion surgery last year, so I'm all surgeried out. Hope I don't need any more. In between my surgeries, my husband had inguinal hernia surgery and major surgery to have a cyst taken off his skull. I'm sure our insurance company got a raw deal on us!

As Moli said "Worry gets in
As Moli said "Worry gets in the way of good planning, reject it ,nothing good ever comes from it.try to see the tiniest of blessings, in the fact that we were put on notice , which gives us time to plan to fix things, create things, enjoy the things that we spent our lives putting on hold, appreciate people, places and things by looking through worry free lenses. enhance current life or clean the slate and start afresh in a happier frame of mind.So many fantastic options as to how we carry on life moving forward."
I learned a lot from you, Moli. Rest in peace; you certainly brought nuff love to us.
Love,
Eldri
