Woods are all you've known for the past decade or so. One steplp1964 said:Hey Jeff,
Sounds like you have been through a meat grinder. But you are a tough cookie we all know that. You are right. Take your time and recover. Sometimes when you are trying to do too much the end result suffers. Your body, your immune system and your mind have to be ready for the next battle.
All thr best man,

at a time. i like that you're blasting away! Keep it up and hang in there. We all have your back!

Thanks Sue. You are a real sweetheart. I am back on my feet somewhat and I feel I might have turned the corner today finally although my IR wants a scan ASAP to make sure there isn't any bleeding so I might not be out of the woods yet although even if I was out of the woods it would only be temporary. It seem i am going to be spending a lot of my life in the woods LOL.
I wish you didn't have to go through all of this. I know I went through my lowest point, with tons of pain and unclear results from surgery, just before I turned the corner, so I hope this will be the same for you. You just never know when that's going to happen, which is hard on the spirits.
Big hugs~AA

Oh, Jeff, I am sorry that you have to continue to do this the hard way. You must be weary of being our inspiration and longing for boredom. Please know that I do pray for you each day and continue to hope for a less complicated course for you. Courage, my friend.

Sotty, it's been a while. My ablations's were actually moved up to the 2nd. They were wau more brutal than last time. Firts the good news. The spot on my lung didnt grow but he ablated it anyway. The spot he thought about touvhnig up on my back from December didn't grew so he left that one. In fact as far as he could tell there were no new growths base on a scan without contrast. Now the not so good news. The rib that wasuse/is causing me so mch pain tripled in size. we are dumfounded since the other spots are stable. He deciced to ablate as much as he could. The maximum a body can take in one seccion. He things he got at least 80%. The plan is to rescan in five weeks. They might ablate again right away or wait and see dpending if there is growth on the scan and how fast it is.
I th pain was twice as bas this time. I am scared to go back so soon. I am still recovering. I have some serious swelling in my side the keeps me in constant pain. I just heard back from my IR. Hde said it might be my tumor bed bleeding so he wants to order a scan. A lot of scan then hurry up and wait now.
Sorry I didnt have better news to report.
Rest up, get better. I'm so sorry to hear the pain is so bad and the results not the greatest, but in 5 weeks we'll know more?
I do think of you each day and my thoughts and love are with you and your family. It's a rough road that we're on, but looking at the next plan is what can help keep us going.

Well i am back in the big house. It turns out a lot of the pain was caused by a lung infection. They put a drain tube in my lung last night. I guess I will go home monday with the drain tube in and a PICC so i can give myself iv antibiotics. Its been 8 years since I has a PICC line.

I know that actually finding out what is causing the pain, is a good thing. I am still sorry that you are going through it, though.
The antibiotics will work a treat; and the tube, which sounds horrible, but if it works...... and soon you will be back up and running - or riding -
We've got your back, Jeff. Loads of prayers, good thoughts, vibes. You're our inspiration.

- I'm going to play with the Font Family again, cause I'm bored with this font. If it appears all foreign languageee again, just let me know -

Thanks Sue. I sound like a broken record saying this but you are such a sweet positive lady. You inspire all of us as well. Thanks for taking such a big role in this community. Especially helping all the newcomers which is an area where I have been lacking lately.

by the time you read this that your pain has been lessened greatly. Let the antibiotics do their magic! I imagine the tubing isn't very comfortable so am wishing you a speedy recovery from your infection, but sure glad they found the reason why and that they have put you back on the road to recovery.

Spending the weekend in the hospital isn't fun but I am very happy that they have identified the source of the problem and have begun treating. Unfortunately, that is the only route to recovery. Feel better soon.

Its been a while since your last update. I hope that the pain is under control, if not gone. I hope you are home and healing.
Cyber hugs!

Thanks for asking Sue. I have been home for a little over a week. All the pain is gone except for where the cbest tube is and that is only occaisionaly. I had hoped to have the tube out by this weekend but i am still draning too much fluid. So i went and rode my Harley yesterday drain tube bag and all. It was awesome. I am on my stationary bike now and might take the Harley out again later.

When you're out on your bike, I know it has to be healing. I am happy to hear it.
I will pray specifically to God that you are soon able to get the drainage tube removed.
You're great!

You're not letting this wicked disease stop you. I hope it works so we can hear that you're NED one day!
Have fun on the Harley! The hubby keeps saying he wants one. He got rid of his Honda Nighthawk years ago when we had kids. He says his next bike will be a Harley. LOL, we both bought bicycles to try to get some exercise together. I think that's enough for now! Haha!

I'm late as usual but that rarely stops me. Just read through this thread and wanted to add my congratulations on your progress and your ability to push through some hard times both mentally and physically. However, I am jealous... a Harley?
My sincere wishes for your continued healing, health, and, of course, good riding weather.
