Thanks Phil. I was just thinking about you last night and wondering how you are doing. Tomorrow is my last SBRT treatment and then cryoablation next Thursday. I have a scan on August 3rd to see how the radiation and all of the ablations did and pray nothing new shows up.

How have you been feeling? How is is affecting you or is it? 

Good luck with the cryoablation. I had a thermal ablation, but I'm sure they are after the same thing. Freeze it or burn it, as long as it goes away.

I feel great for at least 5 days a week as far as energy goes and no stomach or digestive problems except the first treatment but I think that was mainly the Xeloda. That is really good that you are not having any severe side effects. 

Here's hoping the pain goes away with the ablated tumour.

Sotty, it's been a while. My ablations's were actually moved up to the 2nd. They were wau more brutal than last time. Firts the good news. The spot on my lung didnt grow but he ablated it anyway. The spot he thought about touvhnig up on my back from December didn't grew so he left that one. In fact as far as he could tell there were no new growths base on a scan without contrast. Now the not so good news. The rib that wasuse/is causing me so mch pain tripled in size. we are dumfounded since the other spots are stable. He deciced to ablate as much as he could. The maximum a body can take in one seccion. He things he got at least 80%. The plan is to rescan in five weeks. They might ablate again right away or wait and see dpending if there is growth on the scan and how fast it is.

I th pain was twice as bas this time. I am scared to go back so soon. I am still recovering. I have some serious swelling in my side the keeps me in constant pain. I just heard back from my IR. Hde said it might be my tumor bed bleeding so he wants to order a scan. A lot of scan then hurry up and wait now.

We are sorry too, that you don't have better news.

I am happy for your good news, and sad for your not so good news. I am not happy that you are in pain, it pains me to hear that you are. 

Damn that larger tumour. When they got into my liver last year, my tumour was on the border of being too big to ablate, but they went ahead and so far so good, so here's hoping that the 80% is done with, and that the remainder stays stable until your next (and I know you don't want to be thinking about it) try. 

Like I said, its hard to think of yet another surgery, when you are still in the midst of recovering from this one, but soon, the pain you are in now, will be a memory and you will be ready for the next round. A bit like having a baby. If we could even remember half the pain, I dout we'd ever get pregnant again. 

I will pray specifically for your pain to abate, and the swelling reduce and the tumour to stay at the size it is now. 

I know I speak for others when I say that you are in our thoughts (and prayers) and we understand that you may not want to bother posting when all you want to do is concentrate on the pain. So, dear friend; I hope your healing is fast, and that you are back up on your feet soon.

I am back on my feet somewhat and I feel I might have turned the corner today finally although my IR wants a scan ASAP to make sure there isn't any bleeding so I might not be out of the woods yet although even if I was out of the woods it would only be temporary. It seem i am going to be spending a lot of my life in the woods LOL.

Sounds like you have been through a meat grinder. But you are a tough cookie we all know that. You are right. Take your time and recover. Sometimes when you are trying to do too much the end result suffers. Your body, your immune system and your mind have to be ready for the next battle.
