I heard from Mike he is sleeping in his car that sucks when you live in Portland Oregon. He is trying to find work but finds he no longer has the strength he once did to work very long. He said he never dreamed that at his age he would be in this predicament in life. Please continue to keep him in your prayers.

    Gawd....I feel terrible for him!  Portland is so big, I'd think he might be able to find some help via the religious charities, or via the state....Is he a Vet, by chance?

    It makes feel so sad for him.

    This is sad....

    This is so sad to me. Surely there are some social service resources he could get. I can't imagine this happening to anyone.  I pray he reaches out to someone for help.

    Tell him he's in our prayers.

    Tim, it makes me sad in a civilized country when I see people on the streets. There seem to be more now in the post recession UK. A lot of them very vulnerable people. I think the gap between rich and poor is growing. I hope your friend gets a break. Regards. Gary

    that's a damn shame!  he has been so sick for so long, it must be impossible for him to work.  Tim, if you figure out a way we can help, Mike, please let us know.  in the meantime, please let him know he is in our thots and prayers and we will keep him there.  thank you for updating us.

    I am only a few hours north of portland, and have empty house syndrome, as both of my sons are now in the military, and would be glad to put him up for a while, I am loosing my home too, but probably not in the near foreseeable future, A place to shower and do laundy refresh and someone to talk with that has been there....maybe we could all pitch in a few dollars to get him some gas money to come north, and I'll take it from there..

    I will try to PM you my contact info...he can call or text me..

    Wow talk about family you all are some loving people, I sent Mike a text yesterday with Jim’s phone number and told him I would send him some money for gas. As soon as I hear back from him will let you all know. I use to send money to my brother by Western Union all the time, it cost a little bit but it was worth it to get him the help he needed right then. None of us have much but if we share a little what a great blessing we receive in return.

    PS: I also heard of another member of our family who was evicted, I am trying to reach him but no answer just yet.

    looks out for each other.  If you hear from him and he needs gas $, please message me!  I'd be glad to help out.  No one should have to go through as much as he has.

    as I mentioned in my message to you yesterday, please let Mike know that he has many friends here on CSN that want to chip in to help him get to Jim's to take advantage of his most generous offer.

    As Debbie says, that man has been through so much in such a short time, and he certainly does not need this now.

    So let us know when you know where we can send help.

    I too would like to help, Gary I think we could set something up, if anybody here knows what to do please let us know, a bank fund or something.

    That's terrible to hear he's sleeping in his car.  But I'm so glad you finally talked to him.  Will be praying compassionate people come his way quickly and things begin to look up for him.

    You people are just wonderful I guess that is what makes us a family, because we care what happens to each other, and we know just how hard this can all be. I sent Mike a text yesterday did not hear back anything from him, but as soon as I do will let you all know.

    I will see what needs to be done about setting something up for Mike so all who wants to help can do so.

    perhaps we can all send checks to you Hondo and you can then send the money via that bank so that he could withdraw.
