Been missing for a while
I've been away from the boards for awhile - not with any health issue - but working on our move
We moved to Florida!!! Out of the bitter cold and snow of upstate NY to the sun and warmth of central Florida! We're still settling in, so much to unpack and put away plus waiting for the various utilities to connect. We finally got Internet yesterday and it is so nice to be able to rejoin my H&N family.
It's my second anniversary diagnosis wise (HPV+ BOT stage IVa - induction chemo, 33 rads w chemo and 2 neck dissections) and am feeling great! No pain, no discomfort, saliva is around 90%, I can eat just about anything - I had potato chips the othe day and it was magical! I have to be careful of the sun, I put on the zillion SPF sunblock every morning before I venture out to work but it is a small consequence to have my life.
I have a PET coming up later this month but at this point there are no worries or scanxiety, my last appt with my ENT pronounced all tissues and structures normal, so NED continues.
I'm grateful to my medical team, my wife and children, friends, family and my head and neck extended family for all of their support and caring.
It can and does get better every day!
Peter

Well if you're ever out and about and want to grab a coffee or lunch, shoot me a PM.
Actually, I was just your way last Saturday..., took 429 from I4 to Mt. Dora fishing out of Gilbert Park.

Hey Peter!!
We're in the same timeframe.....the same bus . I am SO jealous you got to move to Fl.....getting out of the cold has to put a person's head space in a positive place.
Sending positive vibes and prayers on your upcoming scan.....
