I'm in the ER Update, phase 2

Couldnt sleep last night with terrible stabbing pains in lower right back. They think its kidney stones. Just did a scan. As sad as it sounds I hope it is only kidney stones. Its amazing how we would gladly accept something so painful as good news.

Update: My surgeon read the scan from last week with his team and as I figured he wants to take better images. The CT last week was done without contrast so he ordered an MRI for this Friday night since that is what my last scan was back in October. he said that way we can compare apples to apples. Hopefully I will be updating this time next week with a clear plan of attack.

    No stones. They found a spot

    No stones. They found a spot on my lung liver and one rib. I am freaked out because my wife doest even know I am in the hospital. I love her so much and dont want to break her heart again. We were so looking forward to this weekend. I was supposed to pick up a baby goat tomorrow and we were so happy about it yesturday.

    you saying that don't want to hurt your wife while you sit there in pain so exemplifies everything I have come to know about you and your extraordinary sensitivity and kindness.

    Dang this darn disease!  I am so sorry you are suffering.  As a wife and caregiver, please call your wife.  As much as we hate it too, she will want to be with you now.  Plans can be postponed until you are feeling better.  You need to focus on getting over this hurdle.

    Damn. This makes me so angry and sad. You are such a trooper. You've done this so many times...you will deal with it again. I just wish you didn't have to.

    I'm really sorry you got this news. I have a feeling it gets harder not easier with each re occurrence.

    Ugh!!!

    This dreaded disease sucks!! I'm sorry that you got bad news, but you need to call your wife and let her know. You'll get through this together. I would want to know. I am hoping you'll respond wonderfully to any therapy you need. Good luck.

    o bleep bleep, so sorry, bad news neves comes at a good time but always when you least expect it.

    but first things first, get rid of the pain, get a plan of action going and PLEASE do get the baby goat, it will bring you so much pleasure

    Thanks Ann. She just told me that she could tell I wasnt myself the las couple of weeks an wanted to tell me to get a scan but was afraid it would upset me and i was afraid I would upset her. Its funny how cancer makes you keep secrets from each other
