Thanks! He's my sweetie!saussureainvolucrata said:Your boy has a lovely smile
Your boy has a lovely smile AA, and the farm on the photo below looks surreal. I thought such bright red houses can only be found in Norway. Where exactly in the US was this photo taken?
The photo of the barn was taken in the Snohomish River valley, in Western Washington. It's less than an hour away from Seattle, where we live. I didn't take that photo, of course, and I think the colors are super-saturated. So while it is indeed a red barn, it's not quite that vivid in reality!! Hence, the "surreal" feel to the shot.

It's great that you were able to do one of these. Seems like a fun way to celebrate your survival!

Yes it was very emotional.
I was diagnosed on Oct 5th of last year and the race fell on my 1 year anniversary. So yes, we celebrated with lots of happy tears.

My hubby and I just celebrated our 29th wedding anniversary with an overnighter to Lake Tahoe.
Here we are on a boat trip across the lake, and as happy today as we were 29 years ago. (see how my hair is growing back. YAY!)
Love it Sue!
