    Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) Therapy

I have lymphedima in my legs and abdomen following anal canal cancer treatment. I was stage lll with mets to nodes in groin area. I went into MLD therapy in a quest to relieve swelling in leg, abs, and genital areas. I found a website for medical equiptment and a machine called Lymphapress. This consists of a air compression suit with 24 stages starting at feet and compressing up legs and ending at ab. This system and compression stockings during the day at work have returned my legs to pre cancer state.

    Not considered "alternative"

These therapists can help reduce this swelling in the lymph and preventing long-term damage.  Hope you found someone to help.

    MLD

I have Lymphedema after uterine cancer treatment.. I have had treatment with MLD and complex bandaging and wear a compression stocking or tights during the day... I also do self massage to clear the fluid and simulate the lymphatics to work..I have had this for 12 years and have managed to control the Lymphoedema very well With MLD and compression.. I also walk and do water aerobics as the  natural compression of the water helps to reduce any swelling..ou can find videos online that teach you how to do the MLD...
