Recurrent Sweets Syndrome in Left Arm Lymphaedema Post Mastectomy
Hello.
It has been a while since I've posted anything here. I'm nearly two years out, post treatment for Triple Negative Invasive Ductal Carcinoma - Stage 2 - Grade 3.
After all the surgeries (I had three in total) and the removal of 18 Axillary Lymph Nodes, I have Lymphedema in my left arm and hand. I use compression garments and a pump to manage swelling.
I am presently experiencing my third recurrence of Sweets Syndrome in my affected arm and once again on serious antibiotics. I see my oncologist later this morning.
For those of you who may not have heard of Sweets Syndrome here is some info from the Mayo Clinic...http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/sweets-syndrome/DS00752
This current bout of Sweets is the 2nd since the beginning of June and I'm really getting scared that it could mean the cancer is making a comeback
Have any of you experienced Sweets Syndrome/Lymphaedema ?? If yes, I'd like to hear from you. I'm so scared right now.
