Mom has Liver Cancer & Malignant Pleural Effusion
I just registered here and im very tired... I dont really know how to sum things up, but ill try. My Mom was diagnosed with Liver cancer on May 3rd, and was told it had spread to her lungs, pelvis & lower spine. It took way too long to get her Chemo Meds, Nexavar... due to the lack of organization at her Cancer Doctors office, but she finally got the Meds two weeks ago. Shes had several Paracentisis procedures, but has only had the Thoracentisis done twice, the second one was this evening. She did well after her first Thoracentisis, but this time took a different turn. After she came back in the room, she started coughing non-stop and her O2 levels were running from 83 to 88. She kept coughing and coughing up nasty stuff out of her lungs. Plus, her O2 has always been around 98 & 99 until now... so I dont know what happened. She wasn't in this shape until after her Thoracentisis. So now shes in the ICU with a BiPap and mask & her O2 level Wont come up. Shes stable & her vitals are good... but Im very worried about her. I hate shes going through this! And to make matters worse, I had to leave her at the hospital to come home and take care of things, because its just the two of us... we're completely on our own & have no family or anyone helping us or supporting us. The hospital is an hours drive from here... My vehicle is a piece of crap & we're on a wing & a prayer every time we use it, and we cant afford to get a good vehicle... I mean, its just really rough right now. I guess I just needed somewhere to talk about all this. Thanks for reading.

Jmelynn71 I know what you are going truth, When my husband was very sick for two years, I was the only caregiver and I was working full time, only God knows how I did it, I will see my dear husband dying and not be able to stay with him all the time was very painful.
But you know God will never send you a pain that you can not take it, He is always in time and He is always with you. take care of yourself, because you need to be healty and strong.
I will pray for you...Rosi

They finally took her out of the ICU, & they put the port in her lung area, & she might be coming home today. Just wanted to post a quick update.

Hoping she is home and enjoying it. So glad they are releasing her. Best to get away from all the germs and sick people there. She has enough to contend with.
