    Not so bad

See, it was very doable. You just need to have a sense of humor about sharing bodily functions or lack thereof. You've done the hard part. Be patient.Things tend to work out. (pun). Take plenty of time in all of your recovery. You deserve it. Mine was 2 years ago. I have forgotten most of it unless I try to remember. It isn't fun, but sort of the "cost of doing business." Time passes and so does the recovery. It is a very maturing event.

    I did too

And my doctors weren't interested in a fever this low. In fact, mine got to a little over 100. As I remember, they said 101 or over, they would be concerned. I had a low grade fever for a week.

    Fever post surgery

    "Temperatures After Surgery

A fever after surgery is one of the most common complications that patients face.

In fact, over half of all surgery patients will have a higher than normal temperature

in the days following their procedure."

    Fevers can mean infection

I had 2 fevers after surgery:  102.5 in the hospital.  That kept me there for several extra days, and they gave me iv antibiotics.  The source could not be found, but they think it was my lungs.

At 4 weeks, the wound was infected with a staff infection.  I spiked a fever from that.

But 99 would not scare me.

    temp

Think of all the tissue insult you just went through. Then think about how hard your body is trying to recover from this. Your core temperature is bound to go up due to al the metabolic activity going on. Can also be reason for some night sweats.
